The Three Things That Will Change Your Destiny Today….

I am currently reading the book “The Three Things That Will Change Your Destiny Today” by Paul McKenna.  He’s one of those authors or people who is like marmite, you either love him or hate him.  My husband suggested that I read the book given everything that’s happened to me, and although I felt a little sceptical I ordered it off Amazon and thought I would give it a go.

So far I like it, there are lots of useful hints and tips in there for navigating through grief and how to manage when you are hit with one thing after another after another that goes wrong, which is really helpful.  I’m about halfway or so through the book now, and did the “Wheel Of Life” exercise last night which was really useful.  There are also lots of interactive videos and mp3’s which I’ve put on my phone so I can listen to them at the appropriate points in the book.

Some of the positive things I’ve picked up from the book so far includes how many really famous people had things wrong with them and yet those things never held them back, for example, Einstein had Aspbergers Syndrome, Richard Branson had dyslexia and Beethoven was deaf.  But it didn’t stop them achieving great, great things.

All I want to do is to get back a bit of what I had before Frankie.  I know that many of the things I struggle with are down to confidence, so I really need to build up my confidence and self esteem.  I’m sure some of you reading this are thinking, what on earth are you on about Lisa, you are confident – but take a look at this quote below from Jim Morrison:

It is so true.  We all put on a mask to the outside world no matter how we are feeling inside.  There are times I’ve been almost physically sick because I’ve been so nervous and lacking in confidence, but I battle on as best I can.

Details about the Paul McKenna book are here – http://www.paulmckenna.com/change_your_destiny – and I’ll write more about it when I’ve finished reading it.  It has already helped me a lot.
